On January 1, 2009 I joined the reserve army of the unemployed, doing what I can to enhance the consumption of leisure time, once again casting myself into the world as a vagabond searcher, yes I retired. My friends can keep up with my travels and maybe get some vicarious enjoyment. The list below shows my current projects in reverse order by date. The button to the right, when its working, reads information from my FindMe Spot to show you a map with my current location. That button will activate when I'm actively traveling, especially when I'm cycle touring. I also keep a blog when I am out traveling to help my family and friends keep up with my wanderings. You can find it at Travels with Wayne blog. Check out my cycle touring website if you have the time.
- Yucatan, Spring 2009
- Skiing Utah Powder, Winter 2009
I set off for Yucatan on March 15 to fulfill a long delayed visit to the Maya ruins of Yucatan. I've long desired to visit the enigmatic ruins and ponder the mysterious culture that built the now ruined cities.
On my birthday, January 4, I left Seattle heading for Salt Lake City to ski in the light fluffy powder snow of the Wasatch Front. You can find some notes and pictures by clicking the link above.
